About Ultimate Circle of Nigeria

A formal body channelling the benefits of brotherhood and mutual friendship an umbrella holding families together since 1988.

Our History

From friendship to family

The Ultimate Circle of Nigeria was founded in 1988 by a group of friends whose paths had crossed from secondary school to the University and generally in life at such towns as Ile-Ife, Ibadan, Osogbo and Lagos.

It was registered under the Land (Perpetual Succession) Act, CAP. 98 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in January 1991. The philosophy behind its formation was the desirability and necessity to put in place a formal body to channel all the benefits of brotherhood and mutual friendship an umbrella holding all together with the gains permeating the different families, both nuclear and extended.

UCN is essentially a social, philanthropic and welfarist club. Its social activities include house calls to members’ homes, children’s picnics at exotic beaches, the Presidential Wives Dinner, Thursday cell-meetings at the club-house at LUTH, Idi-Araba, and the President’s Nite held ahead of each Annual General Meeting.

Its philanthropic activities focus on visits and donations to orphanages, old people’s homes and welfare homes giving required drugs, food items and clothing materials. As a welfare club it also runs a Group Life and Group Accident insurance policy for members alongside a Thrift and Credit Society subscribed to by all members.

Preamble

“Whereas it has been observed that a group of friends have emerged from people whose paths have crossed, one way or the other… it has therefore been considered desirable and necessary to put in place a formal body to channel all the benefits of brotherhood and mutual friendship. The idea being that the club so formed will serve as an umbrella holding all together in friendship and brotherhood which will permeate the different families, both nuclear and extended.”
